application of sales ratios in mass appraisal and reassessment.
It provides the student with a practical knowledge concerning
the editing of the Real Estate Transfer Declarations and
the sales ratio study. Also included is a discussion regarding
the $3,000 bonus for assessors and supervisors of assessments.

INTRODUCTION TO MAPPING FOR ASSESSORS

This 2-day introductory course is designed to provide a
basic, working knowledge of mapping for assessors. The course
covers various types of maps and their uses, mapping terminology,
math for mapping purposes, land measurements, legal descriptions,
computerized mapping and geographic information systems,
aerial photography, soil maps, and the property index number
and its relationship to the rectangular survey system.
